Network Monitoring

A monitored computer is a happy computer.

What is Network Monitoring?

iPoint’s Network Monitoring program is 24/7 monitoring of your network to avoid system downtime and repairs. Protects your servers and PCs from: breached network security, virus vulnerability, hard drive errors, memory issues, backup failures and poor system health.

Network Monitoring Plans Include

Server Health Checks

In Network Monitoring, Server Health Checks are a process of assessing the quality at which your server functions by looking for key indicators such as processor health, memory usage, network interface, the physical disk of the server, and more.

Workstation/PC Health Checks and Monitoring

iPoint’s Network Monitoring system  alerts you to high rates of unauthorized login attempts, drive space changes, windows services updates, backups and antivirus notices, as well as access to event logs. This keeps your Workstations, PCs, and Laptops in optimal conditions to prevent health issues. Starts at $6.00 per month, per PC.

Server Monitoring

Server monitoring identifies key issues, such as disk space consumption, event and system log errors, exchange server monitoring, processor health, memory usage, and hacker checks, to prevent the most critical disasters. iPoint will notify you and fix them as fast as possible to prevent downtime and potential business loss.

Network Monitoring

A network, which handles all communications between workstations, servers, printers, email and more, also requires monitoring to ensure optimal performance. With network monitoring, we can reduce network inefficiencies to improve your technical experience and increase your networks uptime.

Asset Tracking and Reporting

As part of our network monitoring, we take inventory of the important information on your hardware and software for insurance purposes.

Patch Management

For both Microsoft and Non-Microsoft applications, we analyze and apply the necessary patches to keep your software secure and optimal.

This is a series of metrics that measure how well and efficiently your network is functioning. A network that is performing well is going to be fast both locally, and when using device applications, it should have minimal packet loss, and be able to transmit data within the network successfully.

You will likely learn about this from end-user feedback. In other words, people who use the technology in your network will likely complain about it if its not working as it is supposed to. There are other tools you can use to assess your network’s current performance, such as internet speed tests. However, these will likely not help you prevent issues that same way that Network Monitoring will.

While we commend anyone’s effort to monitor their Firewall, since it is a crucial part of the network, we would advise that this simply isn’t enough. Problems can occur anywhere within the network, not just the firewall. Network Monitoring with iPoint allows you to play a “prevent issues” card in a way that other monitoring efforts are not able to.
